Denise Marcía is an etiquette coach and has spent the last 20-plus years empowering young people, staff and executives in career growth through the soft skills. She tours colleges and universities, and works within businesses, corporations and organizations sharing ‘details’ of success in career and life.

Denise has lived in New York, Connecticut, D.C., California, Tennessee, and London. She has more than 25-years’ experience in the entertainment, hospitality and corporate industries and founded essentials! the professional development company.

Her former career in Hollywood as professional actor makes Ms. Marcía’s sessions as entertaining as they are informative. She presents real-world guidelines regarding professional presence, body language, networking, interviewing, business dining, grooming/attire for the workplace, corporate culture, diversity and inclusion, electronic and social media, travel and hotel decorum, and international protocol.

Denise has been instrumental in ensuring the emotional well-being of young people are guarded. She was director of ''Daughters of Imani,'' an 8-week program grooming young ladies for adulthood; spearheaded a workshop for African American young men of driving age and police, emphasizing the rules of engagement – “A Necessary Conversation.” She created a city-wide event for children, ''Manners and a Movie(SM)'' held in a private movie theater. And created of a program for teens called, ''Get the Job, Keep the Job(SM).'' It ended with HR personnel interviewing attendees for their companies. Three students 'got the job!'
