Each luncheon includes a fireside chat featuring influential woman in business. These quarterly luncheons are designed to provide training and networking opportunities for women professionals through open dialogue and full audience participation in a small, intimate setting. Topics in the past include effective communication conflict management, assertiveness, self-fulfillment, and upward mobility.

Kelli Lemon has created a name for herself in Richmond, Virginia (RVA) as a self-proclaimed “social entrepreneur.” Her passion to create opportunities for people to interact through food, sports, education, or the arts energizes and drives her. With a youthful spirit and infectious energy, Kelli Lemon has become one of Richmond’s most enthusiastic cheerleaders. A graduate of the University of Virginia, Lemon became Virginia Commonwealth University’s assistant director of basketball operations at 22. Then she stayed for graduate school earning a master’s degree in sports leadership and management.
A woman of many talents, she is well known as the Business Manager at Mama J’s restaurant, the lively and curious host of Coffee with Strangers webcasts, as well as the on-air personality for radio shows “The Weekend” on 99.3/105.7 Kiss FM, and “Sunday School” on iPower 92.1/104.1.
Kelli hosts countless community events and festivals such as the Richmond Jazz Fest, Freedom Classic and Big Apple Basketball Tournaments, and the Under Armor Elite 24 Basketball Weekend in Brooklyn, New York. She also works with Avail Marketing on events with a nonprofit fundraising purpose such as, Soul Bowl Lounge, the Team Excel program, and the VCU Broad Street Mile. A few of her latest adventures include RVA Pop Up Parties, Ready 2 Give Charity Events, Dinner and a DJ series, The Art of Noise held at The National and in 2018 Kelli opened, Urban Hang Suite, a social café created to inspire conversations and new culture over coffee. In her “downtime” Kelli serves on the advisory board for the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club and the RVA Chamber of Commerce’s Extraordinary Women Leadership Committee. Kelli adores RVA and does her part to energize the community and shine a brighter spotlight on the city!
Clovia Lawrence is a seasoned award-winning broadcast journalist and solutionist who is best known in the Richmond Metropolitan area as “Miss Community” or “Community Clovia.” Clovia is the product of the Richmond Public School system and a graduate of Virginia Union University.
Before graduating from college, she began working in radio as an intern and had the opportunity to work with some of the legends in the radio broadcast industry. Covering the Central Virginia market, she has a proven track record as a news reporter, announcer, and community affairs director working at more that a dozen radio stations in virtually every format.
With more than 20 years’ experience, her real passion is in tackling tough topics and issues that affect the lives of people from every walk of life. She’s received the Community Service Award from BET and was honored as a Leader in the community by Governor Bob McDonnell.
