The MBL's monthly Membership Meetings are designed to initiate membership dialogue around issues of mutual concern and to provide opportunities for networking. Business leaders and decision makers are encouraged to attend the meetings to discuss specific business opportunities, potential partnerships, and relatable business topics. The corporate sponsors and partners are also given the opportunity to make presentations that share their corporate message of inclusion and economic development to those in attendance.

in financial services for more than 25 years, serving in various capacities within retail management,
business banking, investment services and Wealth. She is a member of BB&T's Virginia multicultural
committee, Co-chair of BB&T's James River African American affinity business resource group, Central
Virginia African American Chamber of Commerce and The Metropolitan Business League. Tanya has
served a number of charitable organizations in the Richmond area including Junior Achievement, The
American Heart Walk and The Richmond Food Bank. She also served as an event planning advisory
board member for Child Savers and a board member/secretary for University of Virginia Richmond Ridley
Scholarship Fund.
