This year, we’re introducing a fresh new experience for the MBL Awards. Rather than a traditional seated dinner, the evening will feature a reception-style celebration with theater seating for the awards presentation. Guests will enjoy a lively reception with appetizers,cash bar, networking, and a dynamic awards program in the beautiful setting of Main Street Station.

VENUE 
Main Street Station places guests inside one of the most iconic and historic landmarks in the city. Located in the heart of downtown Richmond’s Shockoe Bottom district, the station has stood as a symbol of the city’s growth, resilience, and architectural beauty for more than a century.
Originally opened in 1901, Main Street Station was designed in the French Renaissance Revival style, immediately recognizable by its distinctive clock tower and ornate detailing. At the time of its construction, it was considered one of the most magnificent railway stations in the South, serving as a major gateway for travelers entering Richmond.
The station’s architecture is both grand and elegant, featuring soaring ceilings, expansive arched windows, and intricate brick and stonework that reflect the craftsmanship of early 20th-century design. Inside, the dramatic train shed—once filled with bustling locomotives—now provides a stunning open space with natural light streaming through its historic glass canopy.
After decades of service and a careful restoration, Main Street Station has been transformed into a premier event venue that blends historic charm with modern amenities. Its preserved architectural elements create a setting that feels both timeless and inspiring, making it an exceptional backdrop for celebrations, ceremonies, and community gatherings.

ABOUT THE EVENT
The MBL Awards Reception allows the Metropolitan Business League to recognize and celebrate the success of the members, partners, and business leaders in the region. The focus is on embracing the achievements that have been made and showcasing the amazing businesses in our communities. Richmond and vicinity's civic, business and political leaders attend annually, and it has been recognized as a Richmond premier business event.
