Frances earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University\, Chico. She began her career as an advertising account executive for the Chico News & Review and Style Weekly. She then found her niche in television advertising\, excelling as a senior advertising account executive for WRLH Fox Richmond and WTVR CBS. In 2012\, she married Ted Santarella\, owner of beloved Broad Street restaurant Tarrant's Cafe. Together\, they opened two new restaurants\, Max's on Broad and Tarrant's West\, becoming a powerhouse couple in the Richmond dining scene.\n\n \n\nAfter Ted's untimely death in 2016 from prostate cancer\, Frances focused her energies on caring for their son\, Max\, and continuing to build on Ted's legacy of legendary hospitality. With RVA Hospitality co-owner Liz Kincaid\, she opened Little Saint in 2017\, which won the Elby Award for Best New Restaurant. Frances was also recognized that year as one of Style's "Top 40 Under 40." In 2018\, Bar Solita opened downtown to critical acclaim. \n\n \n\nAs company president\, Frances manages business development efforts for RVA Hospitality\, including research\, prospecting\, networking\, exploring partnerships and meeting with local businesses that need catering services or private dining rooms. Under Frances' leadership\, RVA Hospitality has become a company known for "greener and kinder" practices. The company has begun composting\, using biodegradable cups and straws\, and buying local produce. RVA Hospitality also invests in its employees so they can realize their full potential\, offering benefits like paid vacation\, profit sharing\, increased company meal discounts\, outreach with CORE (Children of Restaurant Employees) and the annual Teddy Awards in Ted's honor. Frances has actively sought out a diverse staff by recruiting minorities\, including those in the LGBT community. She began offering ServSafe training in Spanish to encourage first- and second-generation immigrants to move into management. A member of the Massey Cancer Center Advisory Board\, Frances created a fund in Ted Santarella's name to support research for new treatments and tests for prostate cancer. In 2019\, she completed her certification in Fund Development through the University of Richmond's Institute on Philanthropy. Frances is also an active member of the Fox Elementary School PTA and the Fan Woman's Club\, for which she co-chaired the 2018 Tasting Supper. In her free time\, she can be found working on her latest moss wall project. She enjoys designing her home and entertaining friends. She is the mother to Max\, a 6year old boy with a passion for hot wheels and grave digger. \n\n \n                                                                    \n\nLiz Kincaid\n\nCo-Owner and COO\n\nRVA Hospitality\n\n\n        Liz Kincaid is the co-owner of RVA Hospitality\, active Board Member of the Richmond Arts District Association (RAD) and the RAD Marketing Committee Liaison. Liz brings eight years experience working in the Arts District with residents\, patrons\, hotels\, galleries and tourists\, as well as over fifteen years of restaurant management and entrepreneurship.  As co-owner of RVA Hospitality Tarrant's Caf \, Max's on Broad\, Bar Solita\, RVA Valet\, Tarrant's West and Little Saint with three businesses located inside the RAD footprint\, one of her major goals is to make the Arts District a local\, national and international destination for tourism\, retail\, art\, dining and culture. Her primary work function is to increase the visibility of RVA Hospitality with local government\, non-profits\, patrons and organizations\; to increase the company's sales through guest visits and participation in events\; to drive visitors and revenue to the restaurants through social media\, print marketing\, public relations and supporting fundraising efforts\; provide guidance to her direct reports including the Director of Operations\, Executive Chef\, Office Manger\, Graphic Designer and Banquet Manger.  She also coordinates with business partner and philanthropic role model\, Frances Santarella\, and oversees all the business insurances and legal matters\, while acting as the Human Resources Manger to shape organizational policy and improve company culture.\n\n\n\nLiz received her Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Journalism from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master's degree in Cultural Studies from the University of Winchester\, England.  In addition\, she is a Court of Master Sommelier's Certified Sommelier\, a member of Real Local RVA\, ServSafe Certified\, and RSVP Certified.  She is proud to offer SwAm certified catering from her businesses and aims to raise $50\,000 for Massey Cancer Center annually with her business partner. Some of her greatest professional achievements at RVA Hospitality are the 2017 Best New Restaurant Elby for Little Saint\, growing Tarrant's Caf 's catering and delivery revenue by 100%\, incorporating green practices into the restaurants\, and improving work/life balance and benefits for employees. Before owning a restaurant group\, she worked as an office manager for Blue Planet Run\, a non-profit in San Francisco\; lived in Italy studying art\; wrote food based articles for Style Weekly\; and\, married the love of her life\, Sean Rapoza.  They live with their English bulldog\, Bella\, and work together in the Arts District\, where Bella frequently enjoys walks and attention from pedestrians. \n\n  \n\n\n\nEach luncheon includes a fireside chat featuring an influential women in business. These quarterly luncheons are designed to provide training and networking opportunities for women professionals through open dialogue and full audience participation in a small\, intimate setting.
