DESCRIPTION:The MBL's monthly Membership Meetings are designed to initiate membership dialogue around issues of mutual concern and to provide opportunities for networking. Business leaders and decision makers are encouraged to attend the meetings to discuss specific business opportunities\, potential partnerships\, and relatable business topics. He has been a leader in various roles including procurement\, construction and communications. No matter what area he is leading\, John is always engaged with his customers and the community he serves. John has been with VCU Procurement for two years and his team focuses on Construction\, A/E and Facilities procurement. John received his MBA from VCU and he served on several non-profit boards in the Richmond community including SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now)\, PFF (Partnership for the Future) and Art 180. John is currently the Chair of the Supplier Diversity Advocacy Committee Chair for VASCUPP.\n\n\n\nCornelius Hunt - VCU Senior Buyer and Supplier Diversity/SWaM Coordinator. Cornelius has over 8 years of experience in procurement service. While he's only been with VCU for 9 months\, he brings the knowledge\, skills and abilities gained from 10 years of service with the City of Richmond. Cornelius roll as a Senior Buyer focuses on Construction\, A/E and Facilities procurements. His role as Supplier Diversity/SWaM Coordinator focuses on developing business relationships with the SWaM Community and to educate those firms on VCU?s procurement policies and procedures. Cornelius received his B.S. in Public Administration from VSU and he serves as the Athletic Director for the Varina Athletic Association for both youth football and basketball.
