Young\, Sr. worked as a technology teacher and coach in the Richmond public schools for more than 34 years and was a deacon at Fourth Baptist Church. His love for youth led him to give 25 years to the Young Life Urban Ministry as its Director. Sam was an avid golfer who played regularly with family and friends.  He was a regular participant in MBL golf tournaments going back to 2002.  He was also an accomplished contractor that owned Young Construction with his brother\, Posey\, for over 20 years.\n\n\n\nIn honor of Sam Young Sr.100% of the proceeds will benefit the MBL Youth Entrepreneurship Programs (YEP). This entrepreneur program promotes economic development and education to youth in the Greater Richmond and Petersburg areas.
